The way I read the CNBC story, the $1,000 trading level had not been accounted for in S&P500 related automation. No other stock in the S&P 500 group has a four digit trading level. Automation fixed, issue resolved.
That makes sense. Berkshire-Hathaway wouldn’t have triggered the problem because (I presume) it wasn’t S&P500.
Interesting. I wonder if you can buy Berkshire Hathaway on that exchange. For a long time that was, maybe still is, a six-digit stock.
