I didn’t understand WHY the NHS wouldn’t just let this poor child’s parents take this child to other hospitals or even just let them take her child home to die.

It dawned on me they don’t want to child to get possibly superior heath care because it will show the NHS for the incompetent, heartless bureaucrats they truly are.

Or that it will force the NHS to spend more money on children whom the incompetent, heartless bureaucrats deem as, the Nazi’s used to label as “useless eaters”

Either way, never let the government get hold of your heathcare.

Or anything else you hold dear(like your rights.)

I would suggest somehow the room be monitored by video and audio. Someone will put a pillow to that child’s face. End of Alfie and end of problems for the doctor’s ego.

I just read this on a facebook post: "The reason the Government has placed security in the hospital to prevent the parents from taking the child to another country for treatment that could save his life is a very simple one. The reason they are just now starting the process to starve this innocent child to death is due to the fact that way the laws are stated, if this child goes to another that saves his life, he is still a citizen of the U.K. The child will return to the U.K. and will most likely be in need of medical assistance for the rest of his life. Assistance the Government will be forced to pay for. Day nurses, medications, special equipment, etc. So why would they want this child to die at this point in time? Because his second birthday is in mid May. And according to their laws, if he lives to see his second birthday, the Government has no choice except to pay for all his long term medical needs without exception. If they can starve this child now and let him die, they are off the hook for all his medical needs."
