Hey, it’s only fair - their inheritance isn’t going to be all that much more than the Social Security Trust Fund. Which claims to be a treasure trove saved by the government to fund the Boomers’ retirement, but which is in fact a mere record of the money that the government took under that pretext and frittered away on the “Great Society” fiscal sinkhole.

The Social Security Trust Fund not money, it’s government debt. The government Treasury will have to pony up for the money to fund the SSTF bonds when the cash flow of Social Security goes negative enough to require it. Exactly as if the SSTF did not exist at all.

If only to keep your children whole on that account, you are doing no more than your duty if you give all your Social Security money to them.
