it is having the supporting technology that makes a navy work and china with an aircraft carrier scares me more militarily then the soviet union ever did because I believe they have a better capacity to support the ships then the soviet union had during the cold war or even today.
Yes, China has the economic capacity to sustain and expand their military machine. While Chinese economy would head for major economic troubles down the road, it may be a while and in the meantime, it could wreak havoc and do a lot of damage.
