I lived up there in Moscow for 4 years as a kid. Spectacular country, Pops still has some acreage outside of town.
Got “temporarily disoriented” on a road trip up there back in the 90’s and ended up doing an unreal woods/wilderness drive though the mountains and finally across grass in a Passat to execute a “shortcut” to pick up I90 in Montana. It was a blast, turned out the road to Wallace was “out” because they were filming Dante’s Peak there!
Farragut state park was a Navy training facility at one point on Pend Oreille....
