His bombastic style and disdain for policy detail

Because no American politican has been bombastic especially as a means of drawing support. *rolls eyes*.

'Disdain for policy detail' is media code for 'dumb.' Yes, the dumb candidate upset the smart one if you believe the narrative.

But they never get round to explaining Hillary's brilliance despite a plethora of dumb acts and statements.

Hillary's stock response to any perfectly reasonable request for her plans or policies was 'We've got a policy paper on my web site.' In other words, she had no idea and didn't care to have an idea and even if she did have an idea it would be undiluted Marxism.

PS - did the wonderboy Obama ever mention ANY policy detail during a campaign or in office? He was the poster boy for anodyne platitudes and generalities.

>>His bombastic style and disdain for policy detail

Barbara Boxer?
Shelia Jackson Lee?
Chuck Schumer?

So many engage in both of those practices and shrug off the errors

The ultimate POTUS with “an eye for detail” was Carter. Worked real well for him.

Give me a big picture strong leader with the ability to motivate people any day over a derail policy wonk.

The press had no problem whatsoever with the most banal and utterly simpleton POTUS Obama.

Those policy papers were written by staffers, and Hillary contribution (at most) was to sign off on them after reading them once. She couldn't remember what was written in them, and her policy making skills are limited to averaging the opinions of the advisors around her.
