To: Irish Eyes

I stopped wearing stilettos when I was in my early 40’s. They were causing me constant foot pain and I was starting to get bunions which were eventually going to lead to foot surgery. My bunions went away completely within 6 months after I stopped wearing heels.

Thank you for that note of reality. I've oft wondered how women could endure those things... it would appear with a great sacrifice of pain? Sheeesh, forget about 'walking in them'.....how about just standing in them all day like a ballerina does. It's a good thing that it's mainly only men who get gout.

Women look great in heels, but the foot damage is terrible. It must be unbearable. And I’ll never figure out how you can balance and actually walk in those things.
