I loved bagpipes from the moment I heard them. Must be the Scots blood.
They are like heavenly music to me.

When I was searching for ancient Chinese music for the music videos, I found a song that I would have guessed were bagpipes. Shocked enough to call husband over to listen.

They are like heavenly music to me. I have a fair chunk of Scots blood, too. And, I like Amazing Grace on pipes. Generally, I have to be in a mood that's woo-able by the pipes. Otherwise, they can sound grating, whiney.

When a very good friend of mine died (he was a part time firefighter), they played bagpipes at his service. It was absolutely breath-taking. I was, of course, an emotional ball of sobbing jello by that time as both he and my Dad had passed away on the same day, within 20 hours of one another.
