Personally I will only carry a 9mm with a good fragmenting round. Righ pt now I am looking to upgrade to a Sig P365 with optional 12 round magazine, if I can ever get my hands on one. They are not much bigger than my current Glock 43 but has more than double the rounds.
Where to get night sights?
Trijicon. Send the slide. Pay the money. Endure the wait.
Itll be worth it.

lol. May do that.
Thanks to everyone.
Ive done 3 pistols through them. Theyre the absolute best.
Not cheap.
Not quick.
Worth every penny and every minute.

I bought a P12 around 1994 and its rock solid. The magazines were hard to find at first but I’ve got enough now.
Colt Commanders has aluminum frame, Colt Combat Commanders are steel.
I have one. I had to send it back to Para to have the rear sights fixed. They were loose. That issue popped up after the first 50 rounds. No problems since. Only about 300 rounds through it so far. It functions just fine. I think the screws on the grips are different from most brands. Not placement, but size or thread pitch. Cant recall off the top of my head.
Mine are fine. It has a fiber optic on the front, and white dots on the rear. Great outside. Can’t believe a 3” barrel gun shoots that well.
You may find this fun to peruse:

Be sure you know which “cut” your rear sight is before ordering a replacement sight. Note notes at above link.
On another note:
Does your gun have a standard one piece 1911 extractor or one of the Para-only “PXT” extractors(multi-piece with a spring loaded articulating hook on the breech end)?
IIRC, Ed Brown offered an oversized one-piece extractor to fit the “PXT” bored slides. Brownell’s and others had sleeves available to fit a std 1911 extractor to a “PXT” slide.
Might cause you a headache should you need a replacement.
Me too. I bought a bunch cheap(er) when the ban ended in 2004.
For years I was a 1911 45 ACP man. I considered the 9mm under powered. The new +P loads that several manufactures make has changed the game. The 9mm has become very deadly. I am particularly fond of the ammo Corbon makes. It is really good stuff.
Do not shoot that +P ammo out of a cheap poorly made weapon.
Did a quick search with your exact wording and found articles about a number of the Para guns....
