Get a 10 inch Lodge (tm) cast iron skillet. I use mine for many dishes. Just season the pan well, it will last forever.
Directions for seasoning the pan can be found on line. Just be sure that water and soap never touch it.

You can wash them with water, just put the pan in the still hot over afterwards and the water will evaporate completely. Then oil lightly before storing with some bacon grease or veg oil.
