Qx thinks your comments re Asian ladies to be largely correct in general terms.

However, there is also a very pervasive cultural habit as well--that a good portion of them are masters at playing the role of the very shrewish, totalitarian Empress Dowager--particularly if their preferences and expectations are not sufficiently met.
