Two of Bostons top teaching hospitals said they are expanding efforts to hire more black and Latino doctors, and to ensure their facilities are welcoming to minorities they treat an attempt to address two longstanding issues in the health care industry.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the nations leading cancer centers, plans to hire a new leader for diversity programs and to require all faculty and administrative leaders to complete a bias awareness workshop, and has set diversity goals in its 2018 strategic plan.

Hell with quality, we need to fill a quota.
That’s the status of our society today.
Tolerate mediocrity for PC’s sake.
So these hospitals want to become like VA hospitals?
And which is actually racist and discriminatory. While no one should be refused a job based on their color, which affirmative action is promoted as combating, it actually promotes just that. Meaning that the best qualified candidate in skill and character can be refused employment if they are not the “right” color since the fulfilling the quota dictated by the diversity ethos trumps hiring the best qualified candidate regardless of color, national origin etc. .
