Harry Anderson, the amiable actor who presided over the NBC comedy Night Court for nine seasons, has died at his home in Asheville, N.C., according to a local media report. He was 65. Anderson was found at his home by police officers early Monday morning, according to a report by WSPA-TV, the CBS affiliate in Spartanburg, S.C. No foul play was suspected, police told the station. Anderson was a magician-turned-actor who was known as a rabid fan of jazz singer Mel Torme. The affection for Torme was woven into his TV alter ego, Judge Harry Stone, a quirky character who ruled the bench at a Manhattan night court. The sitcom was a mainstay of NBC from 1984 to 1992. Anderson earned three consecutive Emmy nominations for his work on the show from 1985-1987.

good show. watched regularly when we still watched tv. condolences to his family.
I have never seen a double tap 20 minutes apart before?!
Night Courts running joke between Dan Fielding and Markie Posts public defender would never be allowed on TV in the #metoo era.
Just take that into account.
A show not about politics, about humanity in general and the true fabric of American urban personality types wouldnt be on the air in todays network environment.
>> Just found out she was an advisor to Bill Clinton! <<
A vain NYC defense attorney? No chance her character was a ‘pubbie. Plus, she had training with Dan Fielding.
“65 is way too young.”

Everyone believes 65 is way too young when over the age of 66.

Wow,
Just found out she was an advisor to Bill Clinton!
Sorry if that burst your bubble.”
Wasn’t Marky Post photographed jumping on the bed in the Lincoln bedroom? What was she advising Bill Clinton on?
no they don’t... RIP
From what I read he advised him on his public image.
