“I thought it said a 71 year old pregnant woman”

You’re in great company - that’s what I saw as well.

"We were appalled by the behavior of the individuals who confronted the two female service members. Such behavior flies in the face of our values and those individuals are no longer welcome in our restaurant."

She beat on a 71 year old woman someone by all rights she's supposed to be protecting and your appalled at the old lady ? with values like that who needs to eat there ?

The headquarters of the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Georgia Army National Guard is located near Macon. I suspect they were weekend warriors since it was Saturday night and one is from Palmetto and the other one is from Powder Springs.

Captain Mitchell looked like she was keeping her head and trying to calm down the angry old woman. But Sharpe was on a short fuse too. They both should have made a quick exit at the first sign of trouble. You stand your ground against the enemy, not a civilian.

“[Tucker] will not be teaching at Mercer in the future“

Deserved or not, it’s yet another warning to watch how we behave in public. Cellphones can take away entire careers in a few seconds.

“The one soldier in particular that physically engaged and remained in body contact with the elderly civilian should be disciplined. IN uniform, you will immediately remove yourself post haste and walk away from any confrontations with civilians. Period.”

Or, she did not want herself and her unborn child to be victims of the Knockout Game.

YES. Her commission should be in jeopardy at this very moment. Conduct unbecoming.

You cant act like you just escaped from the zoo when you are in uniform.

being preggers just compounds the original problem of lack of self-control under Flag. She definitely shouldn’t be physically engaging anyone, especially a senior citizen, who, sorry, is frailer.

When IN uniform, you are government-issue, one-each, representing your unit, your wing and your commander, and you will NOT violate Article 128 of the UCMJ. You WILL remove yourself from any conflict (yes, even if it means eating somewhere else) and, you will report that conflict to your commander (immediately upon return to your unit).

If a soldier cannot control their own reactions stateside, how do you think they’re going to handle civilians taunting them and throwing rocks and bottles and calling names at them in theatre? The soldier engaged in unauthorized physical contact with a civilian. End of story.

Macon is one the worst, most dangerous places in GA. This is basically just a Saturday there.
