Excerpt from the WT article:
U.S. troops could continue fighting the Taliban and al Qaeda and would be given explicit new permission to battle the Islamic State but would not be authorized to attack the capabilities of any nation state, such as Syria under updated rules of war proposed by a bipartisan group of senators Monday.
Led by Sen. Bob Corker, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, the new Authorization for the Use of Military Force would replace 2001 and 2002 AUMFs that started the war on terror and paved the way for the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
The commander in chief in this case President Trump would be authorized to keep up the fight against a long list of international terrorist organizations that were either affiliated with or spun off of al Qaeda, including the Haqqani Network, al Shabaab and the Al Nusrah Front.
But Congress would be granted more oversight powers, including having to reauthorize the war powers every four years.
LOL
Me too. I guess it just took somebody actually pushing back. It helps to have the power of the Presidency. Just think if the Congress wasn't compromised. This war would be won already.
And yes. Very tenuous indeed. But I have a good feeling about it.
Reauthorize every four years, how convenient for them.

There's guys like that in real life. I've met 'em.
Best line ever.
"You might come in on your feet. But you'll go out on your back. Billy the Kid...garuntees it."
Woohoo!!!!
Life is spicy, Jeremiah!!!!!!
Yea. If this guy can survive, he will bring Saudi and maybe the entire middle east into the modern, post jihad world. If we can get Iran on the same page, then we have subdued the entire middle east and flowers and puppies will run free.
In the "Ender" series of fiction books by Orson Scott Card, there is an Arab leader who became the "Caliph" and tried to do the same thing. He was opposed by radical elements of religious fanatics.
This is fiction playing out in reality. If you ask me.
All Christians and Jews should pray for the success and survival of this reformist Saudi Prince. Within him lies hope for the world.
Deputy Hezbollah leader: Iran will respond to Israeli attack
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/244525
Syrian state-run television claims that Assad’s air defences have confronted a new ‘aggression,’ shooting down ‘nine Israeli missiles’ over the area of Homs in the country’s centre.
Following reports of an Israeli strike, an Israeli military spokesman said: ‘I’m not aware of such an incident.’

Good luck with that, Hezbollah/Iran.
I'm not so sure Russia has your back on this. If not them, who?
I will give you a break in the sense that I don't really think Trump has converted to full Neocon. But certainly our being in Syria a year and half after he became prez is NOT what he promised when we voted for him. We could have voted for Jeb and got the same exact dance move - though, ironically, I doubt Jeb would have used the silly phrase 'Mission Accomplished'.
Also, don't take my word for who wanted this latest unhelpful meddling to go on - just look at all the Neocon reactions... they LOVE it. Graham is only disappointed that we did not do any real damage to Assad so that the Muzzie revolutions Obama/Clinton started in Egypt, Libya, etc could now engulf Syria.
I realize it is going to happen sooner or later - it's prophecy. But there is no reason for us to hurry the end of this age.
I hope you can at least admit this was by no means a military victory. We telegraphed it so they could move whatever might have been useful to them, then we threw a some long range rockets. I think if you look up Kabuki it will probably say: "...throwing a hundred plus Tomahawks and not killing anybody."
The only thing we 'Accomplished' is to give the Rooskies a valid reason to setup better air defense for Syria. Which will be used against Israel. Who is trying to defend against the drones and probably more weapons Iran has and will launch into Israel from Syria.
Interesting Trump’s first foreign trip was to Saudi Arabia then he went to Israel. He had a plan.
Why Trumps flight from Saudi Arabia to Israel is a big deal
Early Monday, President Trump left Saudi Arabia and flew aboard Air Force One to Israel. It was a notable journey, and not just because it was part of Trumps first foreign trip as the U.S. commander in chief: His flight has been widely described as the first direct one between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
On Twitter, deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders wrote that the flight was a historic moment. At the least, it was extremely unusual.
I have a somewhat dumb question. IF a 2nd SC is impaneled, does that prevent Huber/Sessions from making indictments or arrests? I’m confused about what Q stated about April 19 (at least I think it was him) and yet most comments I read stated that Sessions won’t do anything till the IG comes out which is not until May something. I’m so confused and frustrated.
BTW,
if you listen to any of the links, please let me know what you think.
Best,

Agreed. In this case...
Dancing With The 4-Stars.
Because they, like you, don't see what's really going on here. Did you not read my post?
The "neo-cpns" are deep state and they have their agenda. Like you say, Graham wants "boots on the ground" and a full-on invasion to take out Assad and "regime change." Which of course would mean radical moslem theocracy, and ISIS victory.
What is happening here is something completely different. We are fundamentally changing the entire middle east, as I and others are trying to explain to you.
The mention of Trump and "neo-con" in the same breath is child-like and naïve. You are thinking in an Obama/Clinton/Bush paradigm. Things have changed. Pay attention.
I think you are spot on in your assessment of the Syria incident ... Trump took out with precision strikes the arsenal of DS in Syria. Played the DS at their own game and won this one.
Think big, bigger, biggest.
And now it would appear that Israel is hitting Iran/Hezbollah targets that threaten them.
All is well.
And the cheese [Iran] stands alone. It is arranged. A Russion bot told me. :)
Sounds very plausible to me.
