The CE thing grates on me, too. It’s such an idiotic, politically correct, revisionist attempt to deny the Christian history of the dating system. What the heck is a “common era” anyway? What’s common about it? I first became aware of this unwelcome fad 15+ years ago while watching Regis Philbin’s “Millionaire” game show. They sprinkled a B.C.E. into one of the questions. The poor fellow in the hot seat was like, “Is that the same as B.C.?”
