So was that just a random scary rumor? I can't picture LCRA or any of the river authorities relinquishing control. I know we have no water rights to just drill a well at will anymore in Texas. And daughter in the oil biz let me know the oil companies were busy buying up all the water rights they can get their hands on. It is true that gubmint here in Texas is keeping us from free access to water. We still have a fraction more freedom than some western states where individuals can't even collect rainwater.
