Some of us have prayed that if it served God’s priorities and preferences, that the evil doers would eat each other alive, so to speak.
Last time I lived on the Big Island, it was on a propert that had vast numbers of centipedes. They get big, there. DH would catch them and put them in a glass jar at night and dispose of them the next day. Once we saw that overnight they seemed to have eaten each other up; parts left, and IIRC, none alive.
So “centipedes in a jar” is a phrase that in our house menas “Bad guys eat each other alive”.
