I guess I missed the grass in that "patch of grass". It looks to me like it was built on a concrete sidewalk.

The problem is not the lack of beds. The homeless refuse to go live in the shelters and FOLLOW RULES and stop using drugs....
A LOT of the big fires last year in California were traced back to fires in homeless camps....
They should just remodel the Space Needle into one of those ubiquitous 1cc disposable syringes favored by junkies, right down to the safety orange cap.

What are they gonna do? Give them free shelter and food in jail?
For various reasons, the system is broken and approaching a point where it is more comfortable for many people to live in jail than live “free” working like a dog at life-consuming stressful job.
What exactly is the punishment in jail? Cant go out? Cant see family or friends? Can’t travel? Most working people I know are already there...

It will be interesting to see if liberals in Seattle cut this problem down to size or build it bigger. It is their choice.

During my last visit to Seattle some 20 years ago, I thought areas of downtown were already overrun with homeless bums and reeked of human waste. I can’t imagine how much worse it has become with two decades more of liberal loons running the city.
