Signal . . . in theory yes . . .but here is the thing. Boeing and Airbus were required to build in what we call passive-fail system. So if the system were to be knocked off for whatever reason it automatically defaults to the last trim and the pilot works the situation from there. Much much more for later.

Re: hacking, I’m interested in seeing more information about this. I’m always a little suspicious of automation and things being foolproof. And adversaries are always looking for ways to circumvent or override things.
