I knew Uptown in was my favorite city

I was just there two nights ago

Stayed at Chateau Le Moyne in the old stables rooms which I had not done in 35 years

Red Fish Ponchatrain and Creole Parmigiana Zucchini sticks and Shrimp Remoulade and my boy had the Veal....we ordered off the chalkboard like smart folks do there

Cindy was there and said yes it’s true Landreui was booed by patrons and left quickly over the statue stupidity but it’s not true they the owners asked him to leave

Urban legend....she said we’d never ask someone to leave over politics even if they disagreed and she winked

Beignets later and walked till 2am

My mom grew up not far from the 9th ward. They’ve been back a couple times. She’s heartbroken at what’s happened since the mid 50s when they left. 9th ward was full of meanness in the 50’s though. She said they’d lay awake at night and hear all the police sirens there, even back then.
