Two weeks ago I sat around gasping for breath and trying to sleep standing up. Got in touch with the cardiologist and gave me Lasix. 80mg for a few days then drop down to 40mg. Did as told and got better then when I switched to 40 and started gasping again. Gained 8 lbs in a week.
Saw the cardiologist yesterday and he told me to take 80mg of Lasix and added Spironolactone. Started doing better last night and better today but nowhere near 100%. Lost 3 in the past 36 hours. The drugs are working.
I’ve had a cough since November. I’m afraid it’s CHF. If it is I guess I’ll be coughing the rest of my life.
I’ve had the same cough since November myself. Doc just put me on 20 mg of lasix. I’m pretty sure I have CHF also. Some days it’s almost impossible to go to the mailbox without passing out. Best of luck to ya.
