Because you and yours behaved inappropriately doesn't make it right. You could have died with bad drugs, too much alcohol, or alcohol related accidents, or received horrible sexually transmitted diseases. I know young people who never went that route, and they are the much better for it. Just because we may have lived immoral lives, doesn't mean we should hope it upon our offspring, or attempt to justify it. We should hope for, pray for and do what is best for our children.

I have to agree. Though I can forgive those who strayed. But I fear we have far too many who strayed and hence, our low-class immoral society. Seemed to explode with the hippies, but my mom reveals a bit more that many teens were messed up in her time. Not her and her pals, but they did run into the “partiers” (ie, drunkards and sluts).

I’m nearing 50 and never had a drop or did anything close to so-called partying, and by then drunk=fun was entrenched. People think I looked wild in the ‘80s but I was very tame and reliable.

Good lord, partying doesn’t mean fornicating. Get your mind out of the gutter.
