I am getting sick and tired of people doing stupid things that disqualify them from being considered adults and thinking it just goes away when they feel they should say they are “sorry”. The use of sorry constitutes having something happen that was beyond a reasonable capacity to have stopped. It means if you did it on purpose, you aren’t sorry, you are blatantly responsible for doing it on purpose and you can’t be sorry for that, only guilty that you didn’t get away with it and have to pay a price. Sorry is supposed to be for the other guy, not yourself.
