Putin fanboy club leader = Oliver Stone

Title: “Hitler and Stalin weren’t so bad”

“Hitler is an easy scapegoat throughout history and it’s been used cheaply,” Stone said during a discussion about a 10-hour TV special he’s putting together called “Oliver Stone’s Secret History of America.” Stone believes the American educational system has given kids a distorted view of history’s heroes and villains.

“We can’t judge people as only ‘bad’ or ‘good,’” Stone told the Television Critics Association. “[Hitler] is the product of a series of actions. It’s cause and effect. People in America don’t know the connection between WWI and WWII.”

Of Stalin, who historians believe may have been responsible for 20 million deaths, Stone said: “Stalin has a complete other story. Not to paint him as a hero, but to tell a more factual representation. He fought the German war machine more than any person.”

Not to mention Oliver Stone’s defenses of Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro!

And to add:

The younger Stone “has a history of defending anti-American authoritarian leaders,” per the Free Beacon, including former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whom Sean Stone called “misunderstood.”

Wow. Talk about revisionism. Unbelievable.

Stalin used to stay up at night signing death sentences, and when you talk about numbers, 20 million is quite a lowball estimate. As far as Hitler goes, I don't care what ‘series of actions’ fed into Hitler's craziness. There is no excuse for genocide, nor any of the other suffering he caused. He, like Stalin, AND like too many current politicians in America and elsewhere, was driven by a huge ego. It's always the ego that underlies the actions of dictators and would-be dictators.
