Sara’s sister, Melissa, was married to Bruce Boxleitner. And, IIRC, I think they’re not really biological sisters — even half-sisters. Both girls had a parent who were together at some point in time. Sara never was a “Gilbert”, but took the Gilbert name, probably to piggy-back on Melissa’s success. (At least, that’s what I recall.)
