Oprah Winfrey latest movie “A Wrinkle In Time” just premiered, and it’s officially been labeled a flop.
The award-winning book that the movie is based on is a science fiction fantasy about Christianity’s concept of good versus evil, but Winfrey and the Black Lives Matter director Ava DuVernay erased Christianity, making it New Age and politically correct.

Madeleine L’Engle’s 1962 award-winning book “A Wrinkle In Time” is known for its Christian themes, as well as being a sci-fi fantasy about a young girl named Meg whose scientist father gets trapped in another dimension by his own governmental experiment. Well, Oprah and her new favorite director, Ava DuVernay, took the novel and transformed it into a hot mess of a movie.
The movie is about racial diversity and social justice, and the critics say it “sucks.” The Federalist reports, “Critics are largely panning ‘A Wrinkle In Time,’ and Director Ava DuVernay is not taking it well. According to her Twitter feed, white journalists of either gender simply don’t understand her vision for the movie.”

It has made a little over a 100 million with Foreign receipts. Budget was 103 million. Factoring in marketing and the Theaters take it probably won’t break even. Shame /s

I thought Concerned Women for America and other similar groups were warning parents in the 90s that the classic Wrinkle in Time WAS new-agey and anti-Christian.
It was a decent movie. It really was.
The junk stuff that happens with Hollywood accounting is horribly unethical. That happens on every movie. The producers screw the crew. The distributors screw the producers. The chains screw the audience.

movie will make a profit from foreign distribution rights, but is a flop in the domestic market because expectations were that it would be a megahit and make a ton of money here ... that didn’t happen
Well, then, Oprah...you never seemed to mind the thousands of white, Christian, audience members who made you famous?

I would love to see the producers of *I Can Only Imagine* make a film based on *A Wrinkle in Time* true to the book and watch it clean up.

Concerning “Unbroken” “When Angelina Jolie made the decision to remove all aspects of Louis Zamperini’s faith, the movie fell flat”.
I just saw a trailer for the sequel to Unbroken, in which Louis falls flat in life, only to lifted up by God. Sounds like this could be much more true to life than the first...I hope!
