We have a smart TV at home and have frosted tape over the camera. We have a microphone on our remote but to activate it we must accept their terms, which we’ve never done.
I think that there is a mic in a smart TV itself as well, so just opting out of the remote mic may not be enough.
I need to find out how to find the cameras on our Samsung smart TVs.

Not sure I will use microphones ever.
I taped over all my cameras, including creating dots for my phone.
