Hill Street Blues Changed Cop completely change Dramas! Indeed it did. It, in a way, gave birth to the various series that followed, to include Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, and so on.
Prior to that was a cruel mix of soap operas, crappy cop shows, sitcoms and game shows.
