The biggest Chick-fil-A location in the world is now open in New York City. The new 12,000-square-foot franchise location had its grand opening on Thursday, drawing massive lines of people eager to satisfy their fast food craving and check out the behemoth, five-story restaurant.
The new Chick-fil-A, located at One World Trade Center in the Financial District, features what the Georgia-based company called 'one of a kind design elements,' including seating for 140 people, an open-air rooftop dining area, floor-to-ceiling windows, two kitchens and a semi-private group meeting and dining space.

I have done the research. “Franchisees” don’t own the location — Chick-Fil-A does. The “owner operators” pay $10,000 for the privilege, and then get a share of the profits. But they are VERY rigorously screened. Here you go.. a little research.

Now, tell me how your research is different?
It does not franchise out
And you're wrong.
They do sell franchises regardless of who owns the property. If ya don't agree, I'd be willing to make you a nice bet, and I can assure you, you'll lose.☺
I saw the goofballs on Vanderpump Rules the other night eating Chick-fil-a
Andy Cohen uses all those shows to agit prop over homosexuality and now even tranny crap
My guess is when he sees the cast eating Chick-fil-a he will admonish the producers to kibosh that in the future
Hes such a little priss
“”It does not franchise out””
You should inform the company their own website has it all wrong!

Thats all computerized now isnt it
Former SOES/ECN trader myself...in the 90s ......what a ride
Yes it does. From the company's Franchise Opportunities page:
Become an Operator
Our franchised Operators are the backbone of the Chick-fil-A chain. Chick-fil-A, Inc. stands ready to support each franchisee and to honor our heritage by fostering their dreams. Taking that commitment seriously, we are looking for long-term partners who are a good fit–and we know our Operators are, too.
It's certainly not unknown for a franchisor to own sites and lease them to franchisees. McDonald's is famous for the practice.
Look, you can (and they can) call it a franchise all you want. They are basically operators. The operator pays only $10,000, and doesn’t own the building. They don’t “own” anything. They have no equity, and can be fired at any time. (There are instances of this happening when a few tried to open on Sundays). They are basically employees.
Look at the link you cited..... “Become an Operator”. Not an “owner-operator” — an “Operator”.
You will lose. Chick-FIl-A corporation owns all of its stores. Lets make this simple (from the article I cited previously):
Chick-fil-A, on the other hand, pays for all startup costs including real estate, restaurant construction, and equipment.
In turn, the company leases everything to its franchisees for an ongoing fee equal to 15% of sales plus 50% of pretax profit remaining.
The government has a handy table:
https://www.nist.gov/pml/weights-and-measures/prefixes
However, the real estate industry is a bit behind the times. They will use M for a thousand feet (meaning square feet — another sloppiness) and MM for a million. Supposedly, it's influenced by Roman numerals, where M means thousand. But MM in Roman numerals means two thousand, not a thousand thousand.
They do franchise out and you've been told repeatedly by more than one poster here. You're wrong.
Do you work for dial an argument call center?
Then why does the company have a web page specifically for their franchises opportunities?
Then it DOES franchise-—and you just proved it.
.
Its called “advertising”. Lets see, no equity, and you can be fired at will. AND, you can’t sell the “franchise” to your son, or cousin, or whatever. Doesn’t sound like my definition of a franchise.
Don’t get me wrong; its a great gig, and very lucrative. But Chick-Fil-A OWNS the franchise; and the operator operates it.
I was only sing the term franchise because that’s what was mentioned in the link that you posted.
There are apparently different types of franchises,
That said,I expect to visit one this week-——for the first time. We got one in our area a few months back-—grandsons RAVE about it.
.
Some people like you simply don’t know when to stop making a fool of themselves. Ya should have admitted you were wrong way back. Some people, like you for instance, just can’t bring themselves to admit they were wrong. That’s a really bad character trait.
funny-
There have been Chick-fil-A’s in Manhattan for a few years now. I did a post on one here in Free Republic around 2015. Lines wrap around it all the way down the sidewalk.

I was an OTC market maker in LA for a New Jersey firm. I had been Head Equities Trader for the last 20 years or so.
