I hope there are better ways to go to/come from India than flying Aeroflot. But I guess they won’t get shot down by Putin, just by shoddy maintenance and craftsmanship.

I once flew Aeroflot from Leningrad to East Berlin. The plane was an Ilyushin 18, called a "Coot" by NATO. The cabin was very spartan, like a city bus, and it was very noisy. You had to shout to be heard by your seatmate. If you needed to visit the head, it was midships, and the noise in there was deafening.

I found out later that the cabins on these planes were spartan so they could be quickly converted to military use.

However, I did like the food. Breakfast was hard-boiled eggs with caviar.
