“The Shootist” is really aging well for me. I saw it when it came out. And maybe had it on the tv as background noise a few other times. But I watched it again a few weeks ago and it is a very, very good western. And a really good movie

I like Burt Lancaster in Valdez Is Coming and a funny western with John Wayne Mcklintock. The Grit channel on Dish Network has all the good western movies.

“The Shootist” probably wears so well because we are getting close to J.B. Books age in the film.
