"Waiting on this damned Inspector General is absurd.

Agree. We were told mid-March, then April. now hearing May. Some say it is an indication at the scope and complexity.

Also reading not to expect first trials of any sort till September/October. Wheels of bureaucracy and justice move slowly. Argh!

Not buying it, here. Too damn much is coalescing into a fireball, which had to be the plan, for weaponizing the media, choking down Nunes’ investigation, organizing DAVID F. HOGG & Company, slut shaming the president, Ryan & McConnell sabotaging Trump on the hill, traitors in his Cabinet, damaging saboteurs leaking, communist embeds ensconced in every department, topped off by incompetence and abdication at the top of the Justice Department, who sits on a treasonous mob, layers and layers deep, who are overwhelmed, or involved themselves, in government and corporate corruption and totally SOLD OUT TO FOREIGN INTERESTS and actively taking out the Republic. Summer riots will be shipped in to lead into election time. We’ll still be waiting for gum shoes to produce a “REPORT”. MidTerms will be the first gate opened to take out the White House and placing lame ducks 🦆 all over the West Lawn, each wearing a on its tail feathers a sign saying “Impeach”.

Those estimates came from Horowitz in Congressional testimony before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and that was on Nov 15, 2017

"We are aiming to release the report in late winter/early spring -- hopefully in that March/April time period," Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said during a House Oversight and Government Reform hearing.

He also testified before Senate Judiciary on Jul 26, 2017

Inspector General Michael Horowitz has offered few public indications of the status of his probe, which some lawmakers said he initially told them was expected to be complete by early next year. On Wednesday, he's likely to make his first public statements at a hearing in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee about the status of his inquiry - and whether he'll acquiesce to any of the many requests from Republicans and Democrats to expand his review to include the firing of former FBI director James Comey or other developments.

What year? Assuming an indictment today, I wouldn't expect a trial to start until the year 2020. Flynn plead guilty on December 1 last year, 4 months ago. No trial necessary, etc. He has not been sentenced. Manafort's trial date is set for September 17 this year. I would bet that the trial is postponed months.
