Given your skills and training ... would it be very possible and practical for Code Monkey to set up a site with very layered & robust preventions from being usurped or compromised?
I only have a gut feel on that, but I'd say yes. My impression is that CM has a packet-level understanding, as well as a decent handle on the tools and methods used to authenticate. I don;t know what hardware level access (at the chan/destination) and hardware level knowledege (of the Q/sender) is available.
I noticed that Q mentioned multiple sending hardware, "We are being attacked on all devices used to talk." and also had awareness that somebody else (CM) had been locked out of GA. That suggests routine audit/confirmation of security.
I have no skill level or training, but I assume Code monkey has an opposite number who is just as skilled or better. I watch movies and know that hackers are insanely competive. What Code Monky sets up will eventually be cracked. I believe it's a never ending game of one upmanship. But that's just me. All this is to be expected.
p.s. All movie watching is finally paying off. Haha.
One other thought. Given enogh time and resources, any security system can be compromised. Part of the game is intrusion detection.
My lowly network here gets hundreds of attempts a day, none of them involving serious or determined effort.
