I will be greatly disappointed and pissed off if this budget goes through. But I think you go too far in saying it will guarantee no second term. The Donald has and still will have a lot more winning between now and the mid terms and his re-election bid.
His base will not abandon him and he will pick up more support due to the improving economy. My main worry is the mid terms. But I think the Dems are overly hopeful and we will keep the House and Senate. I predict we increase our majorities even.

I see from the NYP that the Senate has passed the spending bill. Hold on to the handle bars and keep your hands inside the car.
I wonder if he’s waiting for the composition of the Congress to be forcefully altered after some high level arrests ... to get what he really wants? Until then, he’s willing to humor them while chuckling to himself. Still, I don’t like the bill and I don’t like him signing it.
Isn’t this budget just for 6 month?
