How was it “bungled” ? She wanted her baby dead, and the baby died.
She gave birth, saw that the “mass of cells” was indeed a baby and is horrified. Rightfully so. She wanted to avoid the part of ending a pregnancy that provided proof of life. This is a truly sick story and my heart is breaking for that baby, not the vessel that the baby grew in.
