That is true. However, it is true that Nixon was in on that and knew about it. I couldn’t really defend him in that respect.
However, I recognized that what Nixon was doing was fighting back against the Left in this country, which was emboldened during the Sixties into the Seventies (and finally came to full power in the Nineties) so...I was willing to side with him, right or wrong because his enemies were my enemies.

But in Trump’s case, it is far, FAR different. First, Trump hasn’t done anything. They just don’t like him. Nixon case was him and the guys around him committing a petty crime of burglary, even if it wasn’t petty because it was the government. Now, today, it wasn’t just Obama and a handful of other people close to him (Like Nixon’s “plumbers”) who were committing the infractions.
Obama, the DNC, and Hillary were leveraging with full consent the institutional governmental power and willing high leadership assistance of the CIA, the FBI, the DOJ, and a fully compliant and onboard Media, and using it to spy on THOUSANDS of Americans, to read all their communications (with the double-hop rule).
Sickening. Just sickening.
