My opthamologist said my vision was 20/20, and should be until I was 50. With that confidence a few years later, I was a Marine Corps Aviation Officer Candidate. Went to the OSO in Marietta, and they sent me to the MEPS in Atlanta for the initial physical.

Everything was fine until the eye test. I had never worn glasses, and the Navy doctor told me I needed glasses.

Devastated, I go home and see my opthamologist (former Air Force Flight Surgeon), and he says yes, things have changed and you do need glasses.

So I decided to enlist as a musician instead.
