Kathy Griffin Is Back: Controversial Comedian Is “So Grateful” Her Carnegie Hall Show Sells Out in A Day
There are about 20 seats left in all of Carnegie Hall that haven’t been sold for Kathy Griffin’s comeback concert on June 26th. Most of those seats have obstructed views, or are so high up that you’d need binoculars to see the comedian whose career was almost kiboshed for good last year.
What happened? In May 2017, famed photographer Tyler Shields shot her holding the bloody, decapitated head of Donald Trump. The right wing went crazy, she was criticized and ostracized. How dare she do that a sitting president? Well, thankfully, people have calmed down. The decapitating (let’s not get started about Trump) was political protest art. It was outrageous but it wasn’t unforgivable– obviously — since around 2,800 people have paid top dollar to see Griffin return.
The Carnegie Hall date will be the culmination of a short tour– a few dates in Canada to preview her material, then San Francisco, Seattle, Boston and New York. All the tickets are selling fast. Griffin Tweeted: “I just found out that my Carnegie Hall show sold out in a day. I’m in shock. For most of the past year I was convinced that my career was over…I have felt moments of despair that I can’t describe in a tweet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart…I am so grateful”

I would not have been unhappy to learn she had taken the coward's way out in her "moments of despair." Now I am unhappy she is being revived.
What would be hilarious would be if the “sold out” show was mostly empty.

I sang with my community choir at Carnegie Hall just last year. It was a little bit of musical tourism combined with vanity press. You pay your money, and you have the Hall for the day. They’ll even put your name on the sign.
It was great fun. It set us all back a hundred bucks, but it was worth it. We had no illusions, however, that we were worthy of the honor.
I suspect a similar thing is going on here. Rent the hall, don’t print any tickets, instant sell-out.

The 78%+ of Manhattan voters who voted for Hillary would more than account for that attendance.
Roger Friedman and the other a$$holes who support her should go to Saudi Arabia to live, and then report back what’s like.
I don’t think she should be punished forever. She got a wake up call though. Hopefully she will learn from it.
She was smart and went to Europe on a comedy tour. That left her out of America for awhile and allowed her new material. Say what you want about Kathy, the girl works her tail off. She does NOT give up. The Dixie Chicks were idiots for hiding under a rock......Americans are very forgiving especially the Christians. The Dixie Chicks were off the grid for far too long to even begin to get another chance. Kathy’s situation will be considerably different.

Quite a few New Yorkers thought the Twin Towers were ugly and incidentally thought America in a way deserved 9/11. I am not making this up. That is the liberal mindset as conveyed to me by some that I have talked to as sick and twisted as it may seem.
Oh come on, trash like this woman will never learn a damn thing. She is filth through and through. I think so far that she has yet to be punished and I hope when she finally is that we never have to look at that skank ever again.
