That part of North Carolina is deceptively rural and bucolic. The feral tribesman of Warren and neighboring counties are as brutal and evil as any you will meet in the ghettos of the worst cities. You better be armed because it's like South Africa, and the sheriff won't be of any use until after the fact.

The closest I have ever come to having to use a firearm to defend my self was at a gas station in Roanoke Rapids NC...I had my hand on my pocket carry and was ready .... my “get off my lawn look” was enough to make the Amish youth think twice and go in another direction
