After 24 years any mystery surrounding the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman is over ... because O.J. Simpson confessed.
Fox aired "O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession?" Sunday night and Simpson walked author Judith Regan through what happened on June 12, 1994. He starts out adamant -- he was just talking hypothetically, which is weird, because if he didn't do it what's his basis for creating the hypothetical.
Simpson starts by talking about his "friend Charlie" ... whom he says for some reason went to Nicole's to snoop around. He says Charlie came over to Simpson's home, told him what was going on and Simpson responded, "Whatever is going on it's gotta stop!" Unfortunately, Regan didn't ask Simpson what Charlie said was going on.
Simpson says, hypothetically, he and Charlie drove to Nicole's with a cap, gloves and a knife under the seat and parked in the alley. Simpson says he walked around the property and Ron Goldman appeared, saying he was at the restaurant where Nicole dined and was returning the sunglasses her mom left behind.

That trial was over the minute the court allowed the change of venue, from Brentwood to downtown LA, virtually assuring an almost 100% minority jury. Ito futher complicated the case when allowed Furhman’s prior racial comments in, despite having no evidence that a glove was planted. Clark and Darden were fighting with one hand behind their backs.

The idiot prosecutor allowed the venue change. It was over at the point, it became “stick it to whitey”. The lone white jurist was bullied till he capitulated. Everyone knew this too but nothing was done about it.
The ability of rich guys who can buy dream teams caused this travesty of justice. Starting with insistence on minority venue location.
Van atta and Fuhrman were cops. Lots of cops in my family. Very few cops are more than 9-5 guys. It is what it is and cops with ambition are trying to get higher paying positions (for the most part). Those who work the mean streets have a good guy, bad guy attitude and that tends to show up as a racist attitude.
OJ had it all going for him. Rich, a minority, a leftist California Justice system. And too a certain degree cops and forensic experts who didn’t think the rules applied because it never had to before.
Yep, exactly. This was right after the media induced LA riots and these jurors were getting revenge. Remember the black power sign one of them gave after the verdict?
Marsha Clark helped destroy Mark Fuhrman. And the DA’s office blew the case by charging only OJ. He had help. Furhman and his partner found a bloody fingerprint that was never introduced into evidence. If it was OJ’s it’s the first thing the jury would have heard about. In fact, if it had been OJ’s he would have been forced to plea bargain if not outright confess.

Anyone who does not acknowledge the irrational hatred directed toward pale people puts themselves and their families at great risk.
OJ simpson killed his wife. There is no doubt about it. He got away with it by claiming racial oppression, and a stupid jury, mostly black, blamed the murder on Furhman saying the “N word” one time.
The trial was a TV circus. The outcome didn’t matter as much as the millions of dollars that were made from ads, endorsements, books, speeches, guest appearances. A shameful show of crass materialism being preferred to justice. The principals all became famous.

You’re right about that. And in many ways it’s understandable. If you work almost exclusively among thieving and amoral _________ (fill in the blank with any ethnic group), you’re bound to have some bad feelings about that group.
A good cop will fight those bad feelings, and try to remain professional. A stupid and arrogant cop will brag about those feelings on tape. And that’s just what Fuhrman did.
Can Furman collect back pay now? Adjusted for inflation with benefits promotion and retirement added on would make a nice sum.
Now if Casey Anthony would step up and tell us what we already know, maybe she can be thrown away for the rest of her life.
Wasn’t he giving the writer what she wanted for a book?
And of course Fuhrman became a writer and ‘ crime expert ‘ after this. Even had that Skakle kid arrested.
I will always remember ignorant racist blacks cheering when Simpson got the not guilty verdict
What difference does it make at this time anyhow?
The jury let him walk because it was “revenge” on the system and the victims were just a couple of white folk.
And about the political system.
If they had convicted him LA would have burned.
