The flat earthers haven’t made a plausible motive on why there is such secrecy regarding it.

How about this...it denies God and His handiwork.

Actually,

To me, one of the main reasons against the flat earth is

a flat plate with a bubble on top and some deceiving light show in the bubble

is FARRRRRRRRRRR tooooo anemic, wimpy a display of God's GRANDEUR.
