Yeah I knew the progressive side... Just thought I remembered it being more conservationist, Been awhile. I do remember being surprised about finding out the social programs he signed in though now that you mention it, The books I read about him were after politics I think, “after the white house” Trumpets call I think? and his adventure down the Amazon...
I have been trying to figure out the “progressive” I have known a few people that called themselves that and it seemed like we agreed about many things, most things on what government should and should not do. A lot of them seemed to only differ in their disbelief of God or eternal life.
Most people who call themselves “Progressive” haven’t a clue as to what it really means. To them, it simply means they are for “Progress”; and who can be against that?
