Question: how did people enjoy films in the 1940s and 50s? Was it possible? When I grew up in the 70s and 80s filmmakers felt they had to include every moment of the sex films. I feel it’s a bit uncomfortable. Since they had to throw sex into each film, you could be with your family or strangers at someone’s home watching a great film and all of a sudden you are watching people thrust and orgasm. It’s AWKWARD in these settings. How did anyone have any idea what happened, back in the 50s, when the screen went black after the kiss and suddenly it was the next morning? Without naked actors moaning, how could the film audience know what might have happened?? Lol.

People didn’t have sex in the 40’s and 50’s so a little suggestive content in movies was titillating.
