I enjoyed this season. It was nice not being a forum for adulation to J-Lo finally. It was also nice having my early favorite win. I cringed when it kept being an all white vote going forward just because I knew the PC crowd would make it in to something even though the voting basically got it right all along. Wished Katie would’ve stuck to her strength because what a voice! I think Ada Vox had great pipes and should have a career in his field.
Gabby reminded me a little of good old Hillary, tireless self promotion even going as far as to have a logo designed and selling GB paraphernalia. She looked a little like Hillary, thinking she was a lock for coronation and being bested by someone with humility and grace. I found her a the end to be offensive and lost all credibility when I heard she was girlfriend of open shirt screaming Cade.( Does he ever button up?)
If you take this show as a true contest of vocal ability and not showmanship, the final two were the right choice. Caleb really stepped it up at the end but Maddie was endearing and solid in her message. Gabby jumped the gun, probably listened to open shirt about having to have big performances. My new nick name for her is crouching tiger.
