Humanity is not pure “homosexual” or “heterosexual” for the most part. Rome did not reproduce enough citizens for them to maintain the empire. It is one of the reasons Christians and Jews took over, because they taught heterosexual sex was acceptable, homosexuality was not, and children were to be accepted as a gift of God and cherished.

Christians and Jews valued children. Infanticide by exposure was common among Romans who were not Christians or Jews.

Pre-Christian Romans did not see people as “homosexual” or Heterosexual. They saw them as dominant or not. Men were dominant and had sex with anyone or anything they desired at the moment.

Sex with animals, boys, men and pre-pubescent girls was common and not considered a moral issue. The question was weather the sex object had power or not.

Christians and Jews valued children, believed homosexuality and bestiality were sinful, and their populations were the only ones growing in Roman cities.
