As the Down syndrome child has rights too, I proposed that if a woman desires to have an abortion the doctor flip a coin as to which one is executed the mother or the baby.

Hey, if it saves one child... Right?

How long until they say murdering anyone is OK if you don’t like them? It’s happened in plenty of other cultures, and it doesn’t just appear out of a vacuum.

Good thing her 2 kids were PERFECT....I'll bet they are breathing a sigh of relief!

Really, Jews praising abortion for "non perfect" kids is JUST WHAT THE NAZIS DID!! Only THEY didn't Kill their OWN CHILDREN!!

EVIL....it's EVIL what these KILLERS do!

If someone is an inconvenience for you.

Just kill 'em.

That's what Stalin did with all those troublesome Ukrainians.

And Poles.

And Lithuanians.

And Cossacks.

And Germans.

And Tatars.

And Jews.

And Finns.

Just kill 'em.

"I can say without hesitation that, tragic as it would have felt and ghastly as a second-trimester abortion would have been, I would have terminated those pregnancies had the testing come back positive. I would have grieved the loss and moved on."

Sooner murder an infant in its cradle than nurse unacted desires.

Abortion might be an option if it were possible to identify the Democrat gene before birth. {sarc — of course}

I would have grieved the loss and moved on.

Not so easy a thing to grieve the loss of your soul, move on, and still remain human.

"But accepting that essential truth is different from compelling a woman to give birth to a child whose intellectual capacity will be impaired, whose life choices will be limited, whose health may be compromised." - Ruth Marcus

In a period of history when the much that is "known" by human beings has only revealed how much is yet unknown, such a statement by Marcus serves to expose her ignorant and self-centered views on this subject.

Can she imagine a day soon when some new discovery will reveal that the now=considered-to-be "impaired" intellectual capacity of that child she participates in conceiving may be the child God intends to use to demonstrate some great medical or scientific "miracle" of medicine?

Only a belief and trust in a Supreme Being allows these faulty little physical brains of ours to anticipate our own potential participation in such a "miracle."

Apparently, Marcus's "intellectual capacity" may be too "impaired" to conceive of such a possibility!

I have close relatives who have made this argument.

My response the only time they ever tried to convince me was this: “I’m autistic. You look me in the eye and tell me that you would have aborted me if you knew.”

Shut them up right away.

"I'm going to be blunt here. That is not the child I wanted."

Hey, Ruth Marcus:

You believe you are a human being. Great. It's a free country. Let's say I do not.

Would that give the right not only to hold, but to act on my belief, end your life, grieve moderately (because I am a decent, civilized person) and then move on?

People like Marcus who imagine they are writing such "thoughtful" commentaries give evidence they haven't given anything 10 minutes of sustained thought for years.

Except perhaps this thought, common to all tyrants: The Supreme Moral Law is "What I Want."

Why should she have to suffer through an abortion?

Just restart Aktion T4.

I refused that test and went to another doctor who said she knew a specialist that used 4D ultrasound and he could detect abnormalities by looking at the fetus’s head shape and so on just in case I wanted to prepare since I didn’t plan to abort.

He said that an Amniocentesis test was invasive and not necessary just because a woman was in her 40s.

I would’ve aborted a fetus with Down syndome. Women need that right.

Well, gosh. There’s logic for ya. “I would have killed my baby, so therefore everyone should have the right to kill their babies.”

Hmmm. Must be nice to go through live with all the moral certainty of a stone.
