“To be pedantic about it, you copied a plaintext URL that didn;t link to anything, and the FR converted your post of that into a clickable link.
ransmnote suggested that I obfuscate 8chan URLs using tinyurl, and I’ve done that a couple times. But when I think about it, if the point is to avoid connecting FR to 8chan, using an obfuscated URL makes me MORE guilty - sending to people to 8chan without their awareness.
I am of a mind that a plaintext URL, not being a link and requiring the reader to affirmatively put it in their browser, doesn’t run afoul of the “no links” rule. And especially so in the Q adventure, where most people participating and lurking know the source.”

To clarify, I never actually “suggested that I obfuscate 8chan URLs using tinyurl” largely because I don’t know what that means or how to do it. I think it’s likely I used a link I thought was safe and you figured out it was an obfuscated tinyurl. I will try to get clarification from Admin on what may be posted. Please private message 8chan links and if you post 8chan links in error, please ask the mods to delete your post.
I apologize for the stress around this issue. It arises from trolls complaining to admin about 8chan (troll complained that 8chan hosted kiddie porn, antisemitism). All Q Anon threads were deleted and I received an email instructing me to stop posting Q Anon threads. I agreed to cease posting Q Anon and noted, for the record, that I hadn’t been posting 8chan links. For that reason my threads reappeared and I regained permission to post Q Anon threads again.
So, I’d like to be cautious re 8chan links. I want to comply, I just am not sure what that entails.
For those wondering, I don’t believe those 8chan threads were ever hosting kiddie porn and antisemitism as that is against their board rules (guarantees thread deletion). I believe that assertion was made by trolls to keep people from accessing Q Anon threads. Early on, trolls replaced a Q post with an “updated” version into which they had inserted Swastikas in order to repel people. Sad, really, because those Q board Anons work so hard to dig up the info that goes into those Q drops, they don’t get paid or are rarely acknowledged, then sludge trolls accuse them of the SAME crimes Anons are trying to end by exposing the monsters in the government!
My mixup. That suggestion came from Swordmaker.
"Obfuscation" in this context is confusing or hiding the true URL through use of a substitute. As I mentioned, I think use of tinyurl is basically a way to hide behavior that is objectionable.
Not that it matters for purposes of my intentions, I still maintain that a plaintext URL in the context of these threads should not be objectionable. A plaintext URL is not a link.
