I’m having trouble finding the series on Amazon. I’m finding movies, not an 11 episode series. Would you possibly have a link? I’m definitely interested in getting it.

Yeah, I’m not seeing a link for the collection, either. Like you, I’m seeing episodes you can stream. If I could supply a definite link for the series, I would. Maybe there’s an episode you could watch for free on YouTube that would give you an idea of what the rest is like?

It’s an enjoyable series and worth your time to watch, if you can. But I don’t want to oversell it, either. The Brett series is head and shoulders over Livanov and friends. For now, just keep an eye out for it and if I find a link, I’ll share it. But Amazon was the place I found it a few years back. I’m sure it will be available again one day as a set, if it isn’t out there somewhere already.

If you haven’t seen the series with Wilmer and Stock, I recommend tracking that down in the meantime. It’s in black and white and shot on video (and the music a bit light) but the acting is first-rate and the price is definitely right. I found my copy at a Fry’s Electronics, of all places. The DVD was produced by A&E.

Yep. All the Russian Holmes & Watson movies from the Late 70’s-Early 80’s are up on YouTube. If you or a fellow Sherlockian have access, you can watch ‘em for free before you decide to buy (using the search terms above on Amazon).

The Russian series from 2013 is also on YouTube. ...Well, at least the first episode is. I’m one of those muggles that doesn’t have infinite internet access for nothing or peanuts. So buying shows like these is usually my best chance to see stuff like this.

Wikipedia says that Sheldon Reynolds, the guy who produced the ‘54 syndicated series, did a sort of reboot in 79-80 through a Polish production company. 24 episodes in color in the same way he did the ‘54 Series. I have no leads on getting that one, though I bet it would be fun to watch at least once!
