in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro by the end of January to help stretch supplies.
Though health officials insisted even a partial dose would protect people for up to eight years, many remained unconvinced.
With all the "undocumented" coming across the border, it would just be a mater of time before it shows up here.
My own limited education suggests that this partial vaccine approach is a 'half-a$$ed', and would present opportunity for possible massive disease 'break-throughs'.
The Flavivirus which causes yellow fever, and it's transmitted when an infected mosquito bites you.

Apparently yellow fever vaccine is the smartest vaccine choice of all vaccines if exposed. Meaning weighing the risks of the vaccine vs the chances of survival from the disease, get the vaccine.
Below quote is from a site that does not recommend the hep A or typhoid vaxxes before travel as the side effects are worse than the cures.
“Though the risk of contracting yellow fever is quite small – especially for travelers, up to 90% of non-immunized travelers that are infected with yellow fever will die. Studies of the vaccine indicate efficacy from 75-95%, and while serious side effects have been reported, they are rare.”
Didn’t I just see an article on FR yesterday about Brazil being the safest place to be if a Zombie Apocalypse occurred? The Zombies wouldn’t get you, but the Yellow Fever would.
